"I'm a huge fan of the Firefly TV series that this film is the conclusion of. But I have to say that I was disappointed.

The way that all the different story arcs and background elements combined into one, were lame as hell. To just smash all that stuff with the Reavers, River Tam's past, and the secrets of the Alliance government into one mega episode was just ridiculous. They could have just covered one of the major issues like giving Simon and River some closure, and it would have been much better.

Also, that Mr Universe guy was a cheesy plot vice. He made me feel misrepresented, as a technologist.

In conclusion: It was so so. Not as good as other Joss Whedon stuff." by mattjones

"Based off TV movies rarely shine; however, Serenity did not disappoint the fans of the canceled show "Firefly". With brilliant acting, great special effects, an intriguing plot, just a splash of comedy in all the right places, and an ending that fans were craving; Serenity is a must watch for all Sci-Fi/Action/Adventure fans." by Sliwa
