"Let me preface this by saying I kinda like the first one. It wasn't my favorite movie, and I think parts of it were really cheesy, even bad animation at times. But this second one rocked. We got to see Del Torro's real imagination (that I feel was stifled in the first one) And after this second movie I don't think it was a mistake that he didn't do the Harry Potter movie to do Hellboy. Ok let me just say the "bad guys" amazing. Great fight scenes, fun creatures, amazing weapons and the prince was (in a COMPLETELY heterosexual way) sexy. It was great. Loved every second of it. Even the Barry Manilow- I hate to admit that- AMAZINGLY enjoyable. You really got into the lore and the universe of Hellboy more than you did in the first one. If you could get through the first one, I promise you you'll enjoy the second one. If you like Del Torro's work (see: Pan's Labyrinth) you'll enjoy the familiar art and characters." by mak0shark
